How to install Nuance Dragon Professional V16

If you've purchased Nuance Dragon Professional V16 on either the 12-month subscription or perpetual single-user license, you will need to locally install the software on your PC. 

  1. Download the software installation file using the link provided to you
  2. Double-click the file in your downloads to launch the installer
  3. Follow the instructions to install the software

Make sure your Windows User account has full read & write access to the location that you install the software and associated files such as the voice profile. If you don't have read & write permissions then you will encounter issues with launching and changing your voice profile

System requirements

There are some minimum system requirements for running Dragon Professional V16. There are: 

  • RAM: minimum 4GB for all operating systems

    While 4GB RAM is the minimum, we would actually recommend a minimum of 8GB in order to not experience significant slow down of your PC
  • CPU: minimum 2.2 GHz Intel dual core or equivalent AMD processor 
  • Free hard disk space: 12 GB
  • Supported operating systems: Windows 11 (64 bit), Windows 10 (32/64bit), Windows server 2016/2019/2022
