Philips SpeechExec - Error message: could not find system configuration file after installing SpeechExec Pro

Problem Description: It is not possible to start SpeechExec Pro Dictate after reboot of the PC. Error message “Couldn't find System Configuration file” is shown after SpeechExec splash screen pops up. After reinstalling SpeechExec Pro Dictate, the software works again until you perform the next reboot. When the error occurs, the software can not be found in Add/Remove programs anymore, files in the installation path are existing though. Trying to start the LogTool is also not possible, LogTool gives error “No SpeechExec program is installed”. Cause of the Problem: The software has not been installed with administrator rights. With the user profile it was possible to install SpeechExec though and that was the cause of the problem. After the reboot the PC was in a state, as if SpeechExec would have never been installed, except from the files in the installation path. Solution or Target to Solution: Log in as administrator to this PC and install SpeechExec Pro. Click “run as” and run the installation as administrator. Applies To: SpeechExec
