Excluding SpeechLive from web browser power saving
If your network connection to Philips SpeechLive is timing out while you navigate other apps and programmes, or if you step away from your desk, this can cause issues with saving, sending and syncing dictations.
Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge both have power saving settings that can cause tabs to go to sleep or break the connection, and we'd recommend excluding SpeechLive from these settings, or switching them off where possible.
Google Chrome
-
Go to the three dots in the top right-hand corner
-
Go to Settings

- Go to Performance

- Under General, where it says 'Always keep these sites active' click 'Add' and enter: https://app.speechlive.com/ then Add again

- You may also wish to adjust the Memory Saving settings underneath this section to make your browser wait longer before forcing memory saving. However, this may affect the overall speed of your browser

Microsoft Edge
- Go to the three dots ... in the top right-hand corner
- Go to Settings

- Go to System and performance

- Under General > Always keep these sites active > click Add site
- Enter https://app.speechlive.com/ then Add
