[SpeechLive](https://help.speakit.co.uk/philips?hsLang=en-gb#speechlive) # Philips SpeechLive - install the NEW Desktop app Philips have released a new SpeechLive Desktop App following the release of SpeechLive [Legal Direct](https://www.speakit.co.uk/pages/philips-speechlive-legal-direct/)and [Professional Direct](https://www.speakit.co.uk/pages/philips-speechlive-professional-direct/) which gives authors greater control of dictating speech to text at cursor in their chosen programmes. To make the most of these new features and commands, you will need to uninstall the previous version, then download and install the new desktop app. Uninstalling and installing apps may require your IT Administrator permissions. If so, please raise a request with them via their preferred method prior to starting this process. ### Uninstall (Windows) 1. Go to your PC's settings 2. Select Apps from the left hand side menu 3. Select Installed apps 4. Find Philips SpeechLive in the list 5. Click the ... and select Uninstall 6. Follow the prompts to remove the app ### Installation 1. Check the **Chip** information, if it displays Intel, you have an Intel processor - As a general rule, if your Mac is older than 2020, it most likely has an Intel processor. 1.
